Regarding that patch.
How come I couldn't find any info on the stage_pit property?
How/where did that get discovered? It's certainly not in the patch notes.

If the file is present, you hop back up and only lose some life instead of die. Handy.

I know that, it's bloody obvious. I was asking where the information was.
I've wasted so much time looking if there was a way. Where and how did the information get learned for that file, because I couldn't get a trace of it.

I made that discovery myself thanks to the last version of Cutscene Maker, it creates a pit file when you set you level to have SOR3 pit property, that's how I found out.
But that's funny because I was sure it was something everyone was aware of lately.
That tool helped me a lot anyway! Smile

The download for it was dead back when I tried to get it, and turns out I was passed a version without that function, so I could never discover it that way, and I'm sure that also applies to anyone else stuck with an outdated version because of dead links. ;_;

So this brings me to thanking you for bringing this to light. I finally have all the tools I need to update the SoR3 mod. Very Happy

@Charco: There's a 'they made some mistakes and made new palettes so it's 100% shit' mindset, which is horribly hypocritical when you see the number of mistakes, bugs, and paletting we have in V5, which is clearly awesome to those same people. My response may've been excessive for the specific question, I apologise. I was tagging a separate issue on, which I have some aggression regarding because the hypocrisy is so damn stupid.

okay, so decided to do a second run, grit my teeth and bear the damn maze... I solved it, (found the unlockables, BTW) moved on and... stage 7, right at the end of stage 7-1, game breaker. Seems an enemy is stuck or something. Won't let me continue.

EDIT: Buuuut.... recorded the Extra mods. Very Happy




BTW, in the level of the cargo plane door open, the air effect scrolling now can be sped up up to 20 to add speed to the drag.

That's because Revenge of Shinobi was made by Ancient!
You just don't have the same feeling of quality while playing Shadow Dancer or Shinobi III (don't get me wrong, they're both awesome games too)

Revenge of Shinobi is my favorite too, but Shadow Dancer (Mega Drive port) is the one that have a special place in my heart. It has some epicness moment.

Have a look at this vid for reference:

For me the black blaze can be seen trying to jump into the stage at the top of the screen then disappears, i switched on the helicopter feature and even then she cannot be seen to be killed... the screen does not give me the [go] as she has not been killed so i get stuck. The part at the end where the box is, before the two ninjas at the end of that scene.

Playing CajNatalie's SOR2 recreation mod made me realize I didn't care at all about the windows reflection, which make the scenes so prettier! So I decided to include this effect into my mod at last!

Windows reflections added to:
* stage 2c
* stage 4g
* stage 4h
* stage 7d
* stage 7i
* stage 8d

The leader finally gets his own portraits in the stage 8 last stages.

I think this is going to be the last update for that mod, unless someone finds something to fix or a new discovery is made.
