One small suggestion - I'd lower Shiva's health a fair bit, x8 is definitely too much for 5.1 imo. (I'd go x5 at the most, his extra difficulty makes up for him having the same health as other bosses)

Ah, for sure! There's gonna be re-balance there. Bear and Shiva will be nerfed in health (both got a lot tougher) and other issues n the Grandmaster Challenge. The mod is getting suited for v5.1

Found another issue when playing it tonight...the Ash at the end of stage 6-1 comes in out of the shadows, probably needs changing to drop-down or walk-on. (especially for toons who love swords...ooo that looks tempting Razz)

It's still one of the benchmark hardcore mods for me though, one of the few that can bring my lives right down towards x0. Wink

Glad you do. I was thought to be a perfect replica of the original Rushing Beat/Rival Turf in standard difficulty, but a tough challenge for the advanced players, hence the Grandmaster Challenge. The design was to be hard enough to make you sweat but still having fun with it and avoid broken issues. I love balancing my mods. Smile

Played through this what a AWESOME mod Donnie, feels better than the original rushing beat game nice I also done a little vid on this as well thanks for this mod Don. By the way I was playing on a difficulty setting out of my comfort zone (mania),hence why I lost 2 credits, I am not very good at the best of times.




P.S how do you get to do the grandmaster challenge.

P.P.S Shiva with 8 health bars Shocked that is just Twisted Evil

Great run! Shame you didn't use the palette/sound package with it. That's half the experience of a tribute mod like this.

There's a lot of changes ready for v5.1, and will have lots of tweaks, features and extra stuff, so it's worth waiting for it.

As for the Grandmaster Challenge, you must wait a few seconds after the credits and then go up towards the helicopter in the background, there you can do the Grandmaster Challenge path. Smile

Right in that case then I going to wait till you release the new version until I do another run, any sort of ETA on it's arrival.

Ahh, I still remember the nostalgia of playing Rival Turf (the american version of RB1) at a friend's house.
It's surprisingly true to the source material, all the enemies and bosses were chosen carefully, design-wise and combat-wise.
