I thought links were already posted, but I couldn't find them. I will go ahead and put them here. This is a post on the older forum by Don Vecta:

Also, some links are already dead (especially Cristalix packs) since those were uploaded on the RIP Megaupload. If those packs can be re-uploaded we'd be VERY grateful.

The sites I HIGHLY recommend to check out to get resources are:

- http://www.spriters-resource.com/ Best. Resource. Site. Ever. It updates periodically and has already tons of useful stuff to use.
- http://www.vgmaps.com/ Problem with them is the layers are not separated so you need to cut them to have scrolling. Pretty much useless if it has foregrounds stuck.
- http://spritedatabase.net/ This site it's okay, but they have more sprite work than backgrounds. The few maps done there have great quality.

BTW, I personally dislike bghq.com site since their resources are pretty much useless: While screenshots doesn't bother me, what ticks me off is that they don't separate the layers whatsoever, therefore, those resources are as useful as a cock-flavored lollypop!

If you have other sites where we can get resources please give us links. I'm personally a resource hoarder so I can create my own scenes with them. Kinda became a mania to do so, lol. Razz

I personally find the first link useful if I don't want to rip it out of a game myself.

The Fighter Generation is a great ressource for sprite from fighting game.
Thus they are put into gif, it is easy to extract them with any "picture maker/editor" software.
